The Honor Trading Post is located just outside of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and offers tube, kayak, and canoe rentals for you to enjoy on the Lower Platte River. The store also offers many other amenities and even a box lunch for convenience or in case you forgot to bring food. Their river tubing trip takes approximately 2 1/2 hours and ends at a sandy beach for you to enjoy the rest of the day on before you head back home. Just show up at their store and they’ll handle the rest.
Note: Tubing on the Lower Platte River requires that you posses a valid park pass. The Honor Trading Post sells these passes and they are $10 for 7 days or $20 for the full year.
For anyone reading this, this was the most fun I’ve had the entire summer. DO IT.
